| Pietà (Italian). The Vatican Pieta (1498-1500): Michelangelo's most famous sculpture. His Florentine Pieta (c. 1550) is a new look at the same subject, while a third, the Rondanini Pieta (1550-1564) was unfinished. An underlying theme of Pieta Research is - a fresh look. The father of tumor immunology, George Klein, named his compelling (1994) book of reflections Pieta. "If George Klein had been born in England or the United states, he would likely today be a household name" (1) Greek, Pi-Eta, ph.
